One of the greatest rewards to what we do is going into local businesses and seeing the visions we propose to our clients come to life. That's exactly what happened with a local Jewelry maker in our quaint historic downtown area of Bellefonte. After meeting with the owners, Kevin and Mary Abbott, and hearing their vision, we gave them a clean design that would showcase their incredible inventory, while maintaining an earthy feel in their showroom. In this case, they chose to give our design a shot and I have to say, they did a great job pulling it off.

In April, we had the privilege to work with two of the best restaurant owners in town. Justin Leiter and Courtney Confer, owners of the Red Horse Tavern in Pleasant Gap, and now Sammi's in Bellefonte. Together, we collaborated on what they had envisioned for the small town "fast-causal" dining experience, and gave them a unique look that works perfectly with the menu they created. We had fun coming up with new design ideas that are seen throughout the restaurant. Our favorite part of this design was the Bike Wall. We took a vintage bike that belonged to Corinna's father-in-law, and turned it into a piece of art. After sanding down's it's original red paint, we chose a bright yellow color for the body of the bike, painted the handle bars and seat white, and added a basket to the back side of it. For the background, we hung a brick wall wallpaper and added the letters F and D to spell the word FOOD. It is certainly an eye catcher and we are very proud of how it turned out. We hope you enjoy what we've done and would love for you to visit Sammi's for lunch or dinner. You can dine-in or carry out. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 11am - 9pm. Located at 205 Park Place.
We teamed up with our friends, Leroy and Clay, with Leroy Bickle Contractors, to design this dream come true home in Houserville, PA! What an experience to pick out the colors, flooring, fixtures, and all that comes with building a new home. This house was gutted down to the studs then brought back to life before our eyes. The house never even had a chance to be put on the market. It sold two days after completion. We owe Leroy and Clay a BIG THANK YOU for entrusting us with this project. It was definitely not a flop! Looking forward to the next one - N
We had so much fun styling this event for our friend, Terry Burns, of Willow & Sage Boutique at Lydia Shafer Photography Studios. Terry's style was of elegance, beauty, purity, and simplicity. Her bridal jewelry and headpieces, hair vines and headbands, are some of the most stunning pieces I've seen. Thank you Terry for allowing us to create this look and style your event for you. Also, to the amazing partners that joined us; Joyce Mills @ Helen Foxx and Co., Shianne Barton @ Chalk it up with Shianne, Emily Rickard @ Pocketful of Posies, Happiness Discovered, Bee Free Designs and Lydia Shafer @ Lydia Shafer Photography, who provided the beautiful pictures seen here. It was our pleasure collaborating with you and look forward to more opportunities to work together in the future. N
What an amazing time we had putting all of this together for these two. Having the opportunity to work with Craig and Chelsea for their wedding was truly an honor and blessing for us. They shared their thoughts and visions with us then let us create something special that would always be a part of their memories as they look back on this perfect day. Working with Ashley at Gillbrook Farms was a lot of fun and the farm is one of the most beautiful places I've seen here in Pennsylvania. I highly recommend it! Photo Credits go out to "The Jepsons" - they captured so many beautiful moments of this precious couple, I had tears in my eyes when looking through all of their gorgeous photos. Each one told a story. Their ceremony was one of the sweetest and heart felt weddings I've been to. I know that these two will live happily ever after because they choose to put Jesus first in their lives. Thank you Craig and Chelsea for allowing us to be part of this day with you. N
Have you ever had that light bulb moment when you realized something? When all of the sudden, it just clicks? Well, that is the kind of moment Corinna and I had when we realized we shared the same love for design. After being friends for a few years, we noticed that we liked a lot, almost all, of the same things. From sunny warm weather or spending the day poolside, to warm chocolate chips cookies right out of the oven. Even spending the day shopping at one of our favorite stores, Hobby Lobby! We found ourselves actually finishing each others sentences and thinking the exact same thoughts at the same time before speaking it aloud. When it comes to design, we noticed the same thing happening. We often lean towards the same color palette and style. We love shiplap, and ALL things Magnolia. When Joanna Gaines new HGTV show, Fixer Upper, came on 5 years ago, that's when it all began. It hit us! That is exactly what we want to do. We started dabbling in a few different things, finding our niche as we tried to figure out what it was we were most passionate about. After 5 years, I think we know what it is! DESIGN. Watching their show, reading their books, and seeing how they began it all, gave us the push we needed to step out in faith and turn our dream into reality.
So this, my friends, is the beginning of a new journey for us. As we set out to accomplish our dream, we hope that you will be inspired, challenged to try new things, and not be afraid to step out of the boat and walk on the water just like we are doing. Enjoy the journey! N |
